Quady North, 2022 50th Anniversary Layne Vineyard Red Blend

This wine was made from the Layne Vineyard's historic 50 year old plantings. Roger and Barrie Layne first planted their vineyard above Applegate's Kubli Bench in 1973. Cabernet Sauvignon (33%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (27%) were vinified separately and then blended in the Spring after harvest. The wine shows notes of anise, cola nut and dark chocolate, typical of the vineyard.
