Stage Pass Estate, 2018 Figini Reserva Pinot Noir

The nose opens with a rush of dark fruit with black currant at the forefront, which slowly drifts to acknowledge the supple oak profile and a warmth of spice. On the palate there is a plushness; dark cherry and allspice wrap around each other with a well-integrated barrel profile of warm sugar. The tannins have a relaxed structure but balance well with the measurable acidity and offer a juxtaposition to the warmth of this wine.
