Irvine & Roberts Vineyards is a family-owned estate vineyard and winery in Ashland, Oregon at the southern extent of the Rogue Valley AVA. Positioned at the convergence of two distinct mountain ranges, its high-elevation vineyards are layered with complex sedimentary soils and influenced by winds from the Cascade mountains. Intent on the sincere articulation of Irvine & Roberts' vineyard sites, they practice organic farming and production methods, while also maintaining its commitment to ecological sustainability. Always striving for excellence, their principal focus is to create thoughtful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of true character and geographical identity. As a winemaker's barrel selection, the barrels for this blend were chosen for elegance and concentration. They express ripe fruit and floral notes with focused length and shape on the palate. This wine will spend 14 months in 50% new and 50% once-filled French oak from coopers that provide additional structure and finesse. Aromas of ripe apricot, honeydew melon, pear tartlet and lemon cucumber develop into thyme, jasmine and honeysuckle. The palate shape is expansive, flowing across every part of the mouth.
